Lys: Cu

Aithne sat there a moment, staring, then came to her senses and guided Concordia to follow the Guttersnipe. It was more the colt and Cu that got the horse moving fast. All she did was guide the mare. Cu kept pace, again, but this time he hung back a bit, as though a rear guard. She had known the dog for less than two hours, and she loved him dearly.

Whatever was in the courtyard was not good. It scared the Guttersnipe, and even Calidus in a murderous rage had not scared the Guttersnipe. She gained the Guttersnipe's side, trying to get a look at the girl's face. "What is it?" She asked as they came into the stable-yard. "Are they Gauls?"
