Lys: Out Of Place

The Guttersnipe was silent, and Jason sent her off and away. The look he gave Aithne once she was gone made her shrink in her seat. What had she done? I never should've sat down. This wouldn't have happened if I'd stayed in my place. She stood as though her seat was on fire, wanting to leave yet not able to let herself. She took her proper place behind Master Lucius's chair and stood quite still, head bowed and eyes averted from everyone in the room.

She knew Master Lucius would not beat her, but she was no longer sure about Jason.
