The man took one look at the link, and one look at the slave, and decided.
Snatching the silver from the big man's hands, he pushed Aithne towards him. "No refunds." he said, then turned and walked off. It was over before it had begun. She'd been bought. She idly wondered how long this one would last, then wondered what her position would be. But seeing how fierce the man looked, she didn't dare open her mouth.
She wished for rest above all, but knew that would not come before the sun had set. And so she mentally gritted her teeth and forced herself to push through. Though she kept her head lowered respectfully, her shoulders squared without her realizing it. She would do as she was told for now, and wait to see how the wind blew.
