Lys: Equilibrium

One thing was certain- the girl had an affinity for mystery. All the same, Aithne did not miss the wave of coldness that came from her when she mentioned Scotti. Well she knew the reputation of that name. The upland Scotti, beyond the Wall, were very different from her own clan in Ibernia. And she thought, perhaps, that the Romans had driven them to be what they were.

She was only just beginning to be able to bear hearing it spat out of people's mouths, instead of spoken with respect.

The girl... 'prattles' may not be a bad term... on about something Aithne can't quite follow. She manages the ending, though.

"There are many things," she answers, quietly, "There are many things that are true and yet hard to believe." A pause. "I could say the same about myself."

P.S. I forgive you. ;-)

I didn't know you watched Chuck.
But I suppose that's a conversation for PMs, not here. :-P
