Lys: Unexpected Help

|
The dog barked loudly. Once, twice, three times. He started moving Concordia, blocking her path and slowing her down by increments. In a few moments she was able to regain control of the horse and bring her to a halt herself.

And a short moment after that she fell from the saddle, the dog leaping under her to break her fall. Not that she noticed. Her shaking, jerking limbs were enough to distract her suddenly overloaded brain. She heard a moan- hers? and a whine- the dog's? and then there was nothing but the sun in her eyes and the whirling of the world.
