Quiet Confrontation

|
Aithne dutifully led her horse to the pen, following the Guttersnipe. She had heard the howl, and seen the Lady jump. That settles it. she thought. We are leaving. And soon.

As they reached the pen, she moved up close to the Guttersnipe. On impulse she began pulling supposed straw from the girl's hair- an excuse for her position. "We're leaving, aren't we?" she asked under her breath. "I've seen all the bustle going on. Tell me, so I can help."

A week of training without a word of explanation- she thought it was time she knew.
