Jenny: Cornered

|
Letting out a soft groan between his teeth, Jason looked at Druce for help. The last thing he wanted was to be left alone with Domitia, in the rain, with things he needed to do pressing on him. If only the Guttersnipe would appear, it might be a little easier. He had never met a girl who made him so uncomfortable and angry at once.

Thank goodness there was the boy. He had popped out from behind Domitia and stood looking intently into her face as though he was watching a mouse-hole. There was no end to the boy's absurdities, and it was a welcome diversion from Domitia's rain-streaked, intent countenance.
